R. G. E. Murray Lectureship and Seminar Series

Robert Murray

The RGE Murray Seminar Series is named in honour of Dr. Robert Murray (1919-2022), Professor Emeritus, for his many years of service to the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Dr. Murray joined Western in 1945, and was Head of the department from 1949 to 1974. Dr. Murray is a founder of the Canadian Society of Microbiologists, is the founding editor of the Canadian Journal of Microbiology, and was president of the American Society for Microbiology. In 1998 Dr. Murray was invested into the Order of Canada in acknowledgement of his many scientific accomplishments and contributions to the scientific community.

 


The seminar series is sponsored by the Murray Trust Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Seminars will take place on Thursdays from 11:00-12:00pm in DSB 3008. A Zoom link will be emailed the week of the seminar for online seminars.
