Pathfinder portfolios include details the student inputs, such as details about thesis progress and engagement in scholarly and professional development activities, and content automatically retrieved from other databases on campus including information about completion of coursework and milestones, a summary of financial support received by the student, and the student’s registration history. In addition, to better understand how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting student progress, students have been asked to provide information in Pathfinder regarding any disruption the pandemic has had on their academic and research progress.

All PhD students are required to submit their portfolios for review by supervisors and the program. Upon submission, the student’s supervisor, advisory committee members and the Graduate Chair are invited via email to review the submitted portfolio and provide feedback, via the Pathfinder portfolio, to the student regarding their progress to date and their plans for ongoing progress.
