IIRF 2026
This year’s full-day event will be held on October 16th, 2026 at the Sunningdale Golf and Country Club. The day will consist of both oral and poster presentations from post-doctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students (prizes will be awarded for the top presentations), a keynote address, and a career development session. This is an excellent opportunity for students and post-doctoral fellows to share their research and learn about other exciting research areas. This year, we are delighted to be hosting Dr. Jennifer Gommerman as our keynote speaker.
About IIRF
The Infection and Immunity Research Forum (IIRF) is an initiative organized by the graduate students of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Western University. Prominent scientists will be invited to present their research within the scope of infection and immunity. This research forum will also provide undergraduate students, graduate students and post-doctoral fellows with a platform to showcase their own research as it pertains to the theme of infection and immunity.
Mission: The mission of the Infection and Immunity Research Forum (IIRF) is to facilitate interaction between undergraduate, graduate students and post-doctoral fellows and a world-renowned investigator in the field of infection and immunity.
Vision: We hope to foster intellectually stimulating dialogue between participants, contributing to the rewarding academic experience at Western University.
Values: The forum provides participants with the unique opportunity to speak with outstanding scientists and colleagues; thus, establishing a basis for future career opportunities and collaborations. This endeavour will promote the scientific activities conducted at Western University to both the local scientific community and the scientific community at large.
