Dr. Ian McConachie

Biography

Dr. Ian McConachie attended Aberdeen University Medical School in Scotland and trained in Anesthesia at the University of Manchester in England. He was a Consultant in both Anesthesia and Critical Care in England before being appointed to an Associate Professor at Western University in 2006.

Since his appointment, his roles have included Site Chief at SJHC, Chair of the Ambulatory Section of the Canadian Anesthesia Society and President of the SJHC Professional Staff Organization (including roles with the Hospital Board and the joint MAC).

Dr. McConachie’s clinical and academic interests include Obstetric Anesthesia, Ambulatory Anesthesia, and Acute Pain.
