Features of our Rural – Kincardine Program
The curriculum in Kincardine is designed to prepare all residents to become confident and competent general practitioners capable of working in any setting across Canada. In year 1, we focus on building foundational core family medicine knowledge in Kincardine, while offering a number of off-site training opportunities to deepen our residents’ knowledge in specialty areas. Year 2 features a longitudinal curriculum spent mostly in Kincardine to consolidate their family medicine knowledge, while offering 12 weeks of elective time to bolster specific skills residents may wish to use in their future career.
