Faculty are practicing family doctors who have full-time academic appointments or community practices in addition to strong academic medical interests. We are very proud of the high calibre of teaching provided by our core and community faculty.

Community based teaching faculty are one of the most important pillars of the Department of Family Medicine. For many learners, they are the ‘face of family medicine.’ Spread across over 40 southwestern Ontario communities, our community based teaching faculty educate undergraduate trainees and residents in rural and regional practices, providing a breadth of experience outside that of the urban academic setting.
