Clerkship RotationsDuring the year 3 Clerkship, undergraduate medical students at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University must complete a minimum of 4 weeks of clinical training in a small or mid-sized community outside of London or Windsor with the option of completing up to 12 weeks if desired. Distributed Education offers clerkship rotations in Southwestern Ontario communities in the following specialties:
- Obstetrics & Gynecology
There are a limited number of clerkship placements available for each block in each community. Priority for these placements will be given to students who have not yet met the curriculum requirements. Requests will then be accommodated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Our office is working closely with our community partners to monitor the impacts of COVID-19 and follow local health authority recommendations.
The Distributed Education program provides accommodation and travel funding for clerks at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University who complete placements in one of our Distributed Education rural or regional communities. These placements may be 4 to 6 weeks in length.
