CDA Dentsply Student Clinician Program - 2023

This year, the 2023 CDA Dentsply student clinician program took place in Calgary, Alberta from June 15-18. In conjunction with the Alberta Wellness Summit, the program aims to bring together student representatives from each of the Canadian dental schools, where student clinicians get the opportunity to present their research amongst judges and conference attendees. The conference provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase student research initiatives and learn from future colleagues in the field.
This past June, fourth year dental student Rachel Brunswick was selected as the representative for Schulich Dentistry. Rachel presented her work titled, “Oral Health of Lesotho Adolescents in Comparison to Southern Africa”, which is the continuation of a previous project worked on with supervisor, Dr. Abbas Jessani.
To close out the weekend, Rachel was awarded with the 2023 Oral Health Scholarship from the Pierre Fauchard Academy Oral Health Foundation. Congratulations to Rachel Brunswick on her amazing work!
