The UWO Dental Student Society’s Mentorship Program held its Post-Grad Plans Q&A series in April, bringing together graduating students from the Class of 2021, DDS’20 graduates and current students for a live virtual discussion about life after graduation.

This year’s virtual series, in its second-ever rendition, yielded great success, attracting nearly 200 students and graduates across all seven sessions.

Each of the Q&A sessions focused on a different path after dental school, including private practice, GPR & AED programs, and specialty programs in oral and maxillofacial surgery, pediatrics, and periodontics.

Speakers shared their experiences and insights, discussed how they chose their paths and programs, preparing for the application process, and their goals for the future. Current students had the opportunity to ask graduates questions and learn about possible career options as they consider their own next steps.

Thank you to all of the 2020 and 2021 graduates who served as speakers during the series: Amr Alsabbagh, Brandon Linaksita, Brendan Wong, Christian Duran, Christine Hyunh, David Au, Emad Fard, Erik Tamberg, Kieran Elliott, Maher Alazzam, Rachel Ziliotto, Sahiba Atwal Purewal, and Waqar Ahmad.
