Dr. John (Jack) Kenneth Wyatt

1930-2004
Dr. Wyatt was born in Detroit MI and grew up in London, Ontario where he attended the University of Western Ontario (now Western University), graduating from Medicine in 1954. He completed his General Surgery and Urology training in London, Ontario and joined the small Urology faculty in 1962 at the Victoria Hospital with a special interest in cancer and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Wyatt steadily built the UWO Urology Residency Program serving as Program Director and Division Chair for 15 years (1975-1991) with special interests in urologic cancer surgery, chemotherapy in urologic malignancies and total ureteral replacement.
Dr. Wyatt was an active contributor to the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, was President of the Canadian Urological Association (CUA) in 1984, and was actively involved in the Northeastern Section of the American Urological Association (NSAUA).
Dr. Wyatt’s legacy is celebrated through our annual JK Wyatt Urology Residents Research Day.
