The Division of Urology at Western University is dedicated to the scientific advancement of Urology. This commitment to research crosses all urological subspecialties including andrology, male sexual health, urinary incontinence, reconstruction, oncology, endourology, pediatrics and renal transplantation. Several of our faculty are international experts renowned in their respective fields of study. In addition to clinical research, our Division has a strong basic science urological research spear-headed by 2 full-time PhD basic scientists. Further, many multidisciplinary collaborations are well established with other investigators at Western.  Our division has also recently commenced a comprehensive step into surgical education led by two faculty with Masters of Education.

Residents in our program have opportunities to explore and to refine their scholarly interests  throughout their five years of residency training.  The program fully supports all residents in their research endeavors, with the Research Director providing oversight and guidance. Residents will showcase and disseminate their work at national and international conferences, as well as our division’s annual JK Wyatt Urology Residents Research day.
