Clinicians & Family Gingerbread House Decorating Contest

Clinicians were encouraged to decorate a gingerbread house with their families and send in a photo for review. All entries were reviewed and the winners selected a $50 item from Amazon.

Clinician & Family Pumpkin Carving Contest

Clinicians were encouraged to carve a pumpkin with their families and send in a photo for review. All entries were reviewed and the winners received a puzzle and a game of "Operation".

Narrative Medicine Workshop with Dr. Shannon Arntfield

"Narrative Medicine aims to enhance clinical communication through engagement with the stories of illness as they unfold in patient care in order to provide an effective interaction that is more meaningful to both the provider and patient" (Charon, 2016).Dr. Shannon Arntfield is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetics/Gynecology at Western University and received a Master's Degree in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University. Dr. Arntfield uses her background in Narrative Medicine in education and clinical practice to focus on how story can improve the experience of care for both patient and provider.
