Think Humanity

Located just outside the Hoima refugee settlements in western Uganda, Think Humanity (TH) was founded in 2006 and expanded into a full secondary school in 2022. Born from a grassroots effort to stem malaria’s toll on Congolese and Rwandan refugees, TH has grown into a hub of education, community health, and sustainable development. Its mission—to bring positive, lasting change to under‑resourced and refugee communities—extends far beyond the classroom, encompassing mosquito‐net distributions, village well‐drilling projects, and life‐saving health education initiatives.

Uganda’s western region is a melting pot of cultures and challenges: high rates of infectious disease, food insecurity, and limited access to formal education. From a global health perspective, TH offers students a front‑row seat to:

  1. Community‐driven public health campaigns

  2. Integration of education with basic health services

  3. The role of sponsorship and international support in scaling impact
