Funding Opportunities

Global Health Systems Program 

Global Health Systems is a one-year, course-based, professional science master's program with a cooperative/ international experiential learning component (summer term) that involves an unpaid practicum (internship) placement, and as such is not eligible for traditional supports available to other thesis and research based Masters and PhD Programs.

Other sources of campus-based employment income such as Teaching Assistantships (TA) and Research Assistantships (RA) are not provided by the profesional program.

International Field School and Practicum Funding Support

Program funding is available to support the costs of the international Field School and practicum placement. The program funding provided will help offset costs associated with the summer term such as vaccinations, flights, and accommodations.

Western University holds internationalization as one of its top priorities, and as such has created a number of scholarship, bursary programs and funding opportunities to help offset the costs of international experiential learning programs. The students are encouraged to apply for these opportunities once they join the program and staff will assist students in submitting competitive applications for support.

Collaborative Graduate Program in Global Health Systems Stream

The Collaborative Graduate Program does not provide additional funding beyond what the student receives through their home department. Students enrolled in the Collaborative Graduate Program in Global Health Systems stream should consult with their home department regarding any funding opportunities to support their studies.
