As the county capital town of Bruce County, Walkerton is located on the Saugeen River in southern Bruce County, approximately a two hour drive from London.

Over 16,000 people live in the three primary communities of Mildmay, Paisley, Walkerton, and the surrounding rural areas that comprise the Town of Brockton. The scenic location affords us ready access to wonderful beaches, ski resorts, golf courses, hiking and biking trails, and a myriad of recreational activities. The South Bruce Grey Health Centre (Walkerton site) is a modern facilty providing:

  • New Medical Clinic which opened in Spring  2011
  • A dedicated Family Health Team serving the community since 2007.

Accommodations

Accommodations are available at the Locum Lodge located on Old Durham Road in Walkerton. The lodge, a 2-storey, 3-bedroom house minutes from the hospital, is a freshly renovated house specifically hosting medical trainees and visiting locum physicians.
