Part of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance with Clinton, St. Marys, and Seaforth, Stratford General Hospital (SGH) is the regional referral community hospital for Huron and Perth Counties. It is also a community training site participating in Distributed Education, providing educational opportunities for Schulich Medicine & Dentistry’s medical students and residents.

Just 40 minutes from London with a population of more than 30,000, Stratford is one of the most beautiful cities in Canada. It attracts visitors from all over the world to its art gallery, theatres, restaurants, and of course the Stratford Festival. Hospital Information

Stratford General Hospital, along with the hospitals in Clinton, St. Mary’s, and Seaforth, is part of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA). The site offers 24/7 emergency care, along with 150 beds (acute, rehab, and complex continuing care).

Accommodations

In Stratford, the Distributed Education program offers a fully furnished 3-bdrm apartment across from the hospital. Each bedroom has a locked door and the living room, kitchen, and bathroom are shared. Internet access is available and parking is free.
