As a community training site with campuses in Chatham and Wallaceburg, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) participates in Distributed Education, providing educational opportunities for Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry's students and residents.

The city of Chatham, with a population of 47,000 is the largest urban centre in the county. Centrally located within the municipality, you will find all major amenities including the largest hospital campus here. Other communities in the area ready to welcome you include Blenheim, Ridgetown, Tilbury, and Wallaceburg.

Hospital Information

  • 300 inpatient beds in a catchment area of more than 110,000 people
  • Multiple outpatient and ambulatory care clinics
  • State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and patient care, including Operating Suites, Rehab and Continuing Care, Diagnostic Imaging, ER, and ICU/PCU

Accommodations

The Distributed Education program provides reimbursement for travel expenses and fully funded designated accommodation in the community. In Chatham, accommodation is offered in a furnished house near the hospital.
