Annual Registration Process

In order to continue your postgraduate training with the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry you must complete PGME and Medical Affairs requirements every year:

  • You must log in to Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry Hub and verify the information under the LOA tab within the My Info tab. DO NOT return a signed copy of your LOA to the PGME Office. You must accept the information in the Hub in order to complete the registration process. PGME will forward your LOA information to the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) on your behalf.
  • Renew your CPSO Educational Certificate.
  • Complete the registration form and pay the annual registration fee in Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry Hub, found under the PGME registration tab.  To access the Hub, you will need your Western credentials to log in.
  • Complete Medical Affairs' hospital credentialing reappointment requirements.
  • Hold valid CMPA coverage

Your Letter of Appointment (LOA) will be emailed to your Western email address each year in March or early April.

You are responsible for contacting the CPSO to follow up on your membership renewal application.

Failure to complete registration requirements prior to your start date will result in being pulled from service and suspension of pay.

Practicing medicine without a valid license from the CPSO is a serious offence under the Medicine Act, 1991 and can result in Registration Committee review, delayed license renewal, and temporary suspension from training.

If you have any questions about the registration process, contact the Postgraduate Medical Education Office at 519-661-2019 or postgraduate.medicine@schulich.uwo.ca.
