Campus Support Services - London

Stay Active

Thompson Recreation Center located on the southeast side of campus offers a variety of fitness resources. The center holds several cardio and weight machines as well as a variety of beginner, intermediate, and advanced exercise classes and group sport. Students can also look to community fitness groups in London such as running groups or yoga studios for other fitness options.

Eat Well

Students can access nutritional information about food on campus as well as information about managing healthy eating habits while on Campus on the Nutrition Information Services Website. In addition to these services, personal Nutrition Information Services offers nutrition counseling to students that prefer a customized approach.  Please see the Nutrition Information Services Website for more information.

Access Health and Dental Care

All Western students have health and dental plans included in their tuition. For any health or dental concerns students should contact Student Health Services for assistance. If a student does not wish to use health or dental services provided by the University, they can opt-out through Student Services.

Stay Safe on Campus

Western University offers several services to guarantee student safety on campus. These services include the Work Safe program, Western Foot Patrol, Crime Alerts, The Student Emergency Response Team, and Campus Police services. Reporting Illness

Learners enrolled in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry's MD and DDS programs are expected to regularly attend all lectures, small group learning and complete all clinical and assessment requirements. Should you become ill and unable to attend a mandatory component of your training program, please report your illness to Learner Experience. 

Medical Students: please follow the UME Attendance and Absenteeism Policy and Process.

Dental Students: please contact the office to arrange an appointment or send an email outlining your issues.

Postgraduate learners should report illnesses as outlined in their employment contract.

Missing exams or other mandatory assessments requires documentation. Download the Western approved absence certificate to take to your physician.

Stay Active

Athletics and Recreation offers a variety of fitness classes and instructional activities such as yoga, martial arts, and aquatics. Club sports and several fitness machines are also available to Windsor Students.
