More Information

I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker, with 17 years of experience focusing on adult mental health.  I have extensive experience providing therapy to individuals, groups, and communities including working for 4 years with a psychiatric hospital medical team in London UK; providing therapy to individuals and groups with Family Service Ontario; extensive work with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence, and most recently as the Clinical Therapist at the University of Windsor's Faculty of Law, supporting students' success and wellbeing throughout their program.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and strenghts based, supporting students to identify and utilize their resources and encouraging deeper self-compassion, self-awareness, and understanding of personal values to move toward their goals.  I use a person-in-environment perspective, taking full consideration of individuals' unique identities and experiences, and work intentionally toward creating a safe space for all students.  I am 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed and work to practice cultural safety and humility.  I draw from an eclectic base of therapy modalities, including Person-Centred Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) as well as mindfulness-based interventions.
