"Dr. Selma Saadaldin is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and learner-centred environment that supports dental learners’ wellbeing, academic success, and professional development. As Assistant Dean, Learner Experience (Dentistry), she advocates for learners, provides mentorship and guidance, and works collaboratively to help students navigate academic and professional challenges. She is dedicated to ensuring that learners feel supported, valued, and empowered throughout their educational journey.
Dr. Saadaldin is an Assistant Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, with more than 20 years of experience in dental education, teaching, mentorship, and academic leadership in Canada and internationally. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, an MSc in Prosthodontics, a PhD in Dental Biomaterials, and a postgraduate degree in Dental Education. Dr. Saadaldin received the Schulich Dentistry Outstanding Faculty Award in 2024 in recognition of her contributions to teaching and learner development. She has also led international learner experiences and community service initiatives in Canada and abroad."
