Flu shot communication

The Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) at London Health Sciences Centre has spent considerable time deliberating on the issue of Influenza Vaccination, in light of the evidence that Influenza is a risk to many of the patients served by our organizations, and consistent with the Public Health recommendations that everyone be vaccinated, a policy requiring Professional Staff and Trainees to be vaccinated has been developed.

For the 2014 Influenza season the policy will be:

That Professional Staff, Trainees, including Senior Medical Students are expected to be vaccinated, should they choose not be vaccinated then the wearing of appropriate respiratory protection will be required.

Both hospitals have launched their seasonal vaccination programs and you are strongly encouraged to use the on site clinics to receive your vaccination.

On receiving your vaccination you will receive a vaccination confirmation form.  Please submit this form to Margaret Wegrzyn (equity.wellness@schulich.uwo.ca) in the Learner Equity & Wellness Office (K1, Kresge) at Schulich so that your status can be tracked.
