Successful Seminar on the ‘Periodic Health Visit: They’re Complicated!’

The interactive seminar held on March 29 and hosted by the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine (CSFM) and the Schulich Interfaculty Program in Public Health, was well attended by department clinicians and other faculty members, with over 50 individuals, including 10 via our livestream channel. Mark Speechley (Professor, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Schulich Interfaculty Program in Public Health) and Heather Maddocks (Senior Analyst, CSFM) presented a summary of the research team’s findings on Periodic Health Visits using the DELPHI EMR database. The session was designed so that more than half of the seminar was dedicated to hearing from participants; attendees posed insightful questions, provided their clinical expertise and perspectives concerning Periodic Health Visits, and provided guidance regarding next steps for this research. Two individuals expressed interest in joining our research team; if you are interested in becoming a team member, or want more information on this research, please contact Cathy.Thorpe@schulich.uwo.ca.
