Inaugural Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture Series a resounding success The Department of Family Medicine celebrated Dr. Ian McWhinney – the founding father of family medicine in Canada – with the inaugural lecture series in September. Dr. Michael Kidd, President of WONCA, delivered an inspirational and thought provoking lecture and Dr. Stephen Wetmore announced the naming of the Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture Hall.
