Family Medicine Grand Rounds - Respiratory Season in a Post-COVID-19 World

Join us for our 2023-24 Grand Rounds in Family Medicine session on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. This session will be presented via Microsoft TEAMS only (no in-person attendance).

Alexander Summers MD, MPH, CCFP, FRCPC will present, "Respiratory Season in a Post-COVID-19 World."

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The general principal learning objectives for the overall Grand Rounds in Family Medicine program are:

  1. Identify, discuss and appraise pertinent and relevant clinical family practice guidelines and literature;
  2. Identify and discuss current evidence supporting treatment of common conditions in primary care; and
  3. Discuss challenges family medicine physicians face in their current practices

 

Session learning objectives:

At the conclusion of these Grand Rounds, participants will be able to

  1. Identify the current and projected epidemiology of COVID-19, influenza, and RSV;
  2. Implement IPAC practices for primary care for the 2023/24 respiratory season;
  3. Identify and communicate details regarding key interventions to minimize community respiratory disease transmission, including vaccination.

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by Continuing Professional Development, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University for up to 9.0 Mainpro+ credits. Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent participating in the educational program.
