  1. To review the trajectory of illness for atypical parkinsonism syndromes and how they differ from typical Parkinson disease. 
  2. To discuss the possible triggers for palliative care support and clinical pearls for non-neurologists. 
  3. To outline clinical milestones that lead to hospitalization, with or without a need for critical care.
