Learning Objectives:

The general principal learning objectives for the overall Grand Rounds in Family Medicine program are:

  1. To transmit pertinent and relevant clinical practice knowledge and guidelines to primary care physicians including a forum for discussion and critical appraisal;
  2. Identify and discuss current evidence supporting treatment of common conditions in primary care;
  3. Discuss challenges family medicine physicians face in their current practices.

 

Session Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of these Grand Rounds, participants will be able to

  1. Describe the motivators and contextual drivers for family physicians in assuming a leadership role in primary care;
  2. Explain where family medicine leaders serve and the roles they assume;
  3. Understand the challenges and successes of being a family physician leader.
