Palliative Care Grand Rounds – Let’s Talk About Sex: Addressing Sex and Intimacy with People Receiving Palliative Care

Join us on Wednesday, February 10, for Palliative Care Grand Rounds to be held via ZOOM (webinar) from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Michael Bennett, MSW RSW, PhD Candidate, will present, "Let’s Talk About Sex: Addressing Sex and Intimacy with People Receiving Palliative Care."

Learning objectives:

  1. Increased awareness of sexual health and intimacy needs of people living with serious illness.
  2. Increased comfort with initiating conversations about sexual health and intimacy needs with people living with a serious illness.
  3. New knowledge of practical suggestions that support a person living with a serious illness to participate in sexual and intimate behaviours.

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the Continuing Professional Development, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University for up to 8.0 Mainpro+ credits.

The 2020-2021 Palliative Care Grand Rounds is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent participating in the educational program.
