Palliative Care Journal Club – Advanced Care Planning and the Palliative Care Approach to Care – The Conversation from the View of the Primary Care Provider

Join us on Thursday, January 23, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for this month's Palliative Care Journal Club. held at St. Joseph’s Hospice of London, London Life Community Room, on the 3rd Floor of the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Building (485 Windermere Road, London, Ontario).

George P. Kim, MD, MClSc(FM), CCFP, FCFP, will present, Advanced Care Planning and the Palliative Care Approach to Care – The Conversation from the View of the Primary Care Provider.

Learning objectives:

  1. Identify the valuable role of the primary care providers in understanding which patients would benefit with a palliative care approach to their care.
  2. Identify some strategies in identifying patients who would benefit from a palliative care approach to their care.
  3. Explore the implications of these conversations occurring earlier on in the illness journey of patients.
