Primary Care Obstetrics Grand Rounds – To push or not to push? Immediate versus delayed pushing during the management of the second stage of labour

Join us on Thursday, June 13 at 7:30 a.m. for Family Medicine’s Primary Care Obstetrics Grand Rounds held at Victoria Hospital in Room C3-301A.

Dr. Nikki Quinn, PGY3, Enhanced Skills Program (Family Medicine Obstetrics), will present, "To push or not to push? Immediate versus delayed pushing during the management of the second stage of labour."

Learning Objectives:

  1. What are the risks of a prolonged second stage of labour?
  2. What is current practice for initiation of pushing and what evidence is this based on?
  3. Should we alter current practice based on recent evidence?
