Admission to Year 3 BMSc
There are two pathways for admission to the BMSc Program in Year 3. Seats are filled in this order:
- Assured admission: Students in Medical Sciences 2 (Med Sci 2) who meet certain grade/course requirements are guaranteed a spot in Year 3 BMSc (subject to module admission). These conditions include: a full course load in Year 2 and a minimum 80 % average on the 2000-level courses required for admission by the end of the Fall/Winter of Med Sci 2.
- Competitive pool: Med Sci 2 students who don’t meet the assured admission conditions, as well as students in other faculties (i.e. Science), can apply for the remaining spots via the competitive pool.
Honours Specializations are limited enrollment. When students are admitted to Honours Specializations in the BMSc Program, first prioritiy goes to Med Sci 2 students who meet the conditions for assured admission. After that, students in the competitive pool are admitted to the remaining spaces.
