The study titled, “Surgery versus Conservative Care for Persistent Sciatica Lasting 4 to 12 Months,” was recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Led by Dr. Chris Bailey, the team discovered that undergoing spine surgery improved patients' experiences of pain versus non-operative treatment.
