Alumna Publication – Academic Pathology
We are proud to highlight a new publication by our alumna, “Exploring the pathologists’ assistant educational landscape in North America” (Leeying Lau, Jina J.Y. Kum 2025), which provides the first comprehensive overview of Pathologists’ Assistant training programs across North America. This important work examines curricula, accreditation, and future directions for PA education, offering valuable insights for the growth of the profession in Canada and beyond.
CAP-ACP 2025 Scientific Meeting Awards
Congratulations to two PA Program alumna on awards presented at the 2025 Canadian Association of Pathologists (CAP-ACP) Scientific Meeting.
Kathryn (Katie) Greenall, who completed the PA program in 2012, was presented with the 2025 PA Service Award. Established in 2024, the Award is presented to a voting member of the CAP-ACP PA Section as a mark of recognition of outstanding recent work to the development of the PA Section.
Emily Kyle, who completed the PA program in 2018, received the 2025 CCCPA-CCCAP Service Award. The Award is presented to a CCCPA-CCCAP certified PA as a mark of recognition of outstanding recent work to the development of the Canadian Certification Council of Pathologists’ Assistants (CCCPA-CCCAP).
