A postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is an individual who has completed his or her doctoral degree and is expected to be involved in full-time research and scholarship. The postdoctoral scholar works under the supervision of a faculty mentor and is encouraged and expected to publish the results of his or her independent research during the period of the appointment.

Postdoctoral scholars must be registered with the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at Western University.
