Overall Goal(s)

  1. Provide a concentrated exposure to the care patients with psychiatric and/or psychological presentations and disorders that is supplemental to the experience during family medicine clinical experiences
  2. It is possible for residents to learn formal and advanced psychotherapeutic skills within the various clinical experiences that are offered. However, this component is optional and will depend on the individual residents' learning objectives.

Background and Description

This is a core rotation for some regional programs but mostly an elective rotation for the rest of the training programs.
