Overall Goal(s)
- Enhance residents’ competencies and in dealing with critically ill patients, especially for those residents who intend to incorporate emergency medicine as part of their family practice upon graduation
- Provide a concentrated clinical experience in the critical care setting and to allow for increased exposures to core and enhanced procedures
Background and Description
This is a core rotation for some rural programs but mostly an elective rotation for the rest of the training programs. It is offered both in academic health sciences centre and large community hospitals.
