Family Medicine - Elective

Overall Goal(s)

  1. Prepare residents for family practice upon graduation
  2. Provide opportunities for family medicine residents to function as family physicians
  3. Provide an opportunity for residents to experience alternate family practices

Background and Description

This rotation’s purpose is to complement the experience gained from family medicine - core clinical experience. It provides you with the choice of additional family medicine experience either at same practice setting as family medicine - core experience or at a different practice. It gives you flexibility in solidifying their family medicine expertise in a familiar setting or to gain exposure of a different practice and preceptor.
