Family Medicine - Elective
Overall Goal(s)
- Prepare residents for family practice upon graduation
- Provide opportunities for family medicine residents to function as family physicians
- Provide an opportunity for residents to experience alternate family practices
Background and Description
This rotation’s purpose is to complement the experience gained from family medicine - core clinical experience. It provides you with the choice of additional family medicine experience either at same practice setting as family medicine - core experience or at a different practice. It gives you flexibility in solidifying their family medicine expertise in a familiar setting or to gain exposure of a different practice and preceptor.
