This community based in and outpatient experience occurs both at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare where rehab inpatients are admitted and taken through a rehabilitation program, and followed up on discharge while consultations occur at Windsor Regional Hospital. Outpatient experience includes specialty clinics such as EMG, Amputee, spasticity management, pain management and include exposure to a wide variety of patients with neurological and musculoskeletal diagnoses. Practical approaches to diagnosis and management will be emphasized. Opportunities exist to refine physical examination techniques as well as soft tissue and articular injection techniques, and injections of botulinum toxin for management of focal spasticity. Opportunities to enhance clinical skills in working with an interprofessional team, management of complex patients and management of disability.
