Initial meeting with supervising OB/Gyn consultant reviews goals of family medicine resident in the hopes of tailoring the rotation to best suit them. Orientation to the delivery room with a nurse and to rotations with the chief resident. Delivery Room: Level II centre, 2500/deliveries per year.
Responsibilities and exposures offered include: ER coverage, triage assessments, following women through labour and delivery, A/N rounds, postpartum rounds as would be educationally useful, outpatients clinics and depending on interest could be 4-5 clinics per week, attendance at OB/Gyn rounds 2x/week.
