Graduate Report

The MClSc and PhD Programs are in full swing and the students are actively engaging in their course work. In addition, several students are nearing completion of their thesis. Stay tuned for announcements of the dates for their public lectures in the winter months of 2023.

It was terrific to be back in person at FMF and NAPCRG and able to actively recruit for the MClSc and PhD programs. We encourage faculty to continue to promote our Graduate Programs to their residents and colleagues.

At NAPCRG, two of our PhD students Drs. Kamila Premji and Sudit Ranade, gave excellent presentations of the findings from their thesis work.

Premji K, Ryan BL, Frymire E, Khan S, Schultz S, Green M, Glazier R, Nastos S, Mathews M. Who will be left behind? The anticipated impacts of an aging family physician workforce on primary care patients in Ontario, NAPCRG, November 2022.

Ranade S, Thind A, Brown JB, Freeman T. Enacting Care by Being Experts and Managing Relationships: A Discourse Analysis of Medical Officer of Health Media Briefings, NAPCRG, November 2022.

A reminder that our Graduate Program (MClSc/PhD) applications open January 1. The deadline for PhD applications is April 1, 2023 and MClSc is May 1, 2023. It would be greatly appreciated if you would keep our programs in mind when speaking with residents and colleagues in Canada and internationally with a strong interest in teaching/research and send them our way.
