FamPOCUS

FamPOCUS (Family Medicine point of care ultrasound) was offered for the second year as an academic half day to Family Medicine residents on February 19. The event was a huge success, with participants getting hands-on experience with and learning about the different ways they can use POCUS in their future primary care practice.

Dr. Kyle Carter and Dr. Daniel Grushka hope to continue to develop and offer this innovative program on an ongoing annual basis to Western Family Medicine residents.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who assisted in the running this workshop including Western's CCFP enhanced skills residents, Ontario College of Family Physicians (OCFP) for their generous support, and a big thank you to Dr. Lawrence Yau (PGY2), Dr. Obaidullah Khan (PGY1) and Dr. Alvin Yang (PGY1) for their considerable efforts in making this workshop a reality.
