Dr. Kevin Pottie awarded Springer Nature award in São Paolo, Brazil

Congratulations to Dr. Kevin Pottie for receiving an inaugural Inclusive Health Research award in São Paolo, Brazil for his research “Canadian Collaboration for Immigrant and Refugee Health: Power of Sharing Newcomer Stories Program.”

The Inclusive Health Research awards — established by Nature Awards, part of Springer Nature, in partnership with Takeda — celebrate those who are driving a more inclusive approach to health research and, in doing so, promote a future of greater health equity globally.

“It is a great honour to win this award and to be part of Springer Nature‘s interest in health equity," said Dr. Pottie. "It takes a village to raise a child. I believe it takes a community to care for a refugee. I’m in medical community building business.”
