Dr. Jo-Anne Hammond publishes paper in this month's Canadian Family Physician

Dr. Jo-Anne Hammond published her paper, "Does the presence of learners affect family medicine obstetric outcomes?" in this months Canadian Family Physician.

In this study, Dr. Hammond, a family physician with a special interest in obstetrics, presents data on outcomes for births she attended over a 13-year period. The data were divided into 2 categories: solo family practice obstetric care (7 years) and academic family practice obstetric care (6 years). This enabled a comparison of women’s outcomes before and after residents became involved in labour and birth.
