Program Director Changes

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce the following appointments to the leadership positions of Program Director, within the Divisions of Orthopaedic Surgery and Vascular Surgery.  Both appointments will be effective July 1, 2021 for a three-year term.

Dr. Parham Rasoulinejad, Program Director, Orthopaedic Surgery
Dr. John Landau, Program Director, Vascular Surgery

Teaching is a key element in our success as an academic Department; and these roles will continue to develop under the leadership of Drs. Rasoulinejad and Landau.  Dr. Rasoulinejad succeeds Dr. James Howard and Dr. Landau succeeds Dr. Adam Power.  Both Drs. Howard and Power have led the Orthopaedic Surgery and Vascular Surgery training programs since 2013.

The contributions of Drs. Rasoulinejad and Landau as Program Director will be very much appreciated by the divisions of Orthopaedic Surgery and Vascular Surgery, as well as the Department as a whole, as we continue our mission to lead nationally and globally in surgical training.

Please join me in congratulating both Dr. Rasoulinejad and Dr. Landau and in thanking Dr. Howard and Dr. Power for their leadership.

Sincerely,

Emil Schemitsch, MD, FRCSC
Richard Ivey Professor and Chair
