Endowed Chairs
The establishment of an endowed Chair by Western in an area of strategic importance is one of the key ways in which we bring the world’s best minds to our university. The holders of these positions bring new knowledge, engage in research, and contribute to the betterment of society. The prestige and honour surrounding such a Chair is shared not only by its holder, but also by the donors whose gifts make it possible, by the name it bears, and by the university at which it is established.
