Dr. Richardson is a psychiatrist and Full Professor recognized for his leadership in military and veteran mental health in the Department of Psychiatry at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, where he holds the prestigious Tanna Schulich Chair in Neuroscience & Mental Health. He serves as a Consultant Psychiatrist at St. Joseph's Operational Stress Injury (OSI) Clinic in London and is the Director of the MacDonald and Franklin OSI Research Centre at the Parkwood Institute. 
Nationally, Dr. Richardson contributes his expertise as Medical Advisor to the Atlas Institute for Veterans and Families, Co-Chair of the Military and Veteran Psychiatry Section of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, and Fellow of the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research.
With over 25 years of clinical, academic, and research experience, Dr. Richardson has dedicated his career to advancing the understanding and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and related operational stress injuries among military members and Veterans.  His research portfolio focuses on treatment outcome studies and occupational psychiatry, including burnout and moral injury in high-risk groups such as public safety personnel, military and veteran populations, and healthcare workers.  He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, contributing significantly to the fields of military and veteran mental health, resilience, and psychogical well-being.
