Dr Taylor grew up in London, ON and joined the Department as adjunct faculty after graduating from the Western Family Medicine residency program, and then joined Southwest Middlesex Health Centre as full-time faculty in 2022. He completed undergraduate and graduate studies in pharmacology at Western followed by medical training at the Windsor distributed education site.
Dr Taylor has worked in a variety of clinical roles including inpatient medicine, emergency medicine and full-scope family practice in a variety of communities including Chatham, St Thomas and Ingersoll while remaining active in clinical teaching. He is a former ER chief and held a variety of local and regional leadership roles related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr Taylor is currently pursuing further formal training in obesity medicine and healthcare leadership. He lives in London with his wife, three children and miniature schnauzer.
