Lifestyle Research Team – New Staff Updates

The Lifestyle Research Team is happy to welcome two new staff members, Nathan Christopher and Melissa Majoni.

Nathan Christopher recently graduated from Western University with an Honors Specialization in Kinesiology. Over the course of his studies Nathan attributes courses such as athletic injuries, exercise nutrition and exercise physiology for developing his passion for health and wellness. During this time, Nathan was a member of the dominant Western Mustangs football team. He had played football since high school at St. Thomas Aquinas here in London, Ontario. Even though he has finished with this sport Nathan still enjoys keeping a healthy active lifestyle, working out regularly each week. Nathan also has a great love for animals, especially dogs. His 10-year-old English Chocolate Labrador is still the cutest dog on the block. Nathan is excited at the opportunity to assist with both the Hockey FIT and Heart and Mind research studies.

Melissa recently graduated from her Master of Science degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics here at Western University. Melissa’s thesis investigated exercise training in cardiac rehabilitation for transient ischemic attack and mild non-disabling stroke patients. She received her Honours Bachelor of Science degree at University of Waterloo with a Health Research Specialization. Melissa will be working with our Hockey FIT team remotely from Vancouver, BC.
