At the conclusion of these Grand Rounds, participants will be able to

  1. Comprehend the diagnostic criteria and types of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) based on the new Canadian Association of Gastroenterology Clinical Practice Guideline for the Management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) (2019);
  2. Apply the new guideline and evidence in choosing IBS investigations; and
  3. Determine the management of IBS.
