Short Bio

I completed my PhD at Western University in 2018 studying the efficiency of the living kidney donor evaluation process. For four years after graduating, I worked at Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) where I lead or performed epidemiologic research across a spectrum of cancer types, including glioblastoma, lung, breast, colorectal, esophageal, penile, and cervical cancer. The breadth of work ranges from screening through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for subsequent recurrence. Some of this work is broad (e.g. current state assessments), while others are specific (e.g. the safety and effectiveness of specific chemotherapy regimens for specific indications). One of the challenges I enjoy is obtaining data from creative sources. Although my focus has been in oncology, I am also interested in other chronic diseases. In my current role with Strategic Analytics, I am working to understand the burden of COVID-19 on the healthcare system. On a more personal note, I enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling and hiking and I love playing hockey, badminton, tennis, and table tennis. I have one baby girl, who is as cute as she is mischievous (very).
